THE COURS SELAVA FLOWER MARKE:
this is a market that is full of people every day and at the market you can
buy fruits and flowers.
The area around the market is a perfect place if you’re looking for a café.
Vieux Nice (Old Nice): is located close by the market and in this quarter
you can see some of the old buildings in Nice and you can also discover the
night life in Nice. You can visit the castle in the old town and you can see
and hear the canon of Sir Coventry. The canon is fired every day at noon and
this is a tradition that was started in 1860 by Sir Coventry in order to
remind his wife that it was dinner time;
NICE CIMIEZ:
you’ll find this place on the hills of Nice. Here you can find museums and
other attractions;
THE MATISSE MUSEUM:
it’s located in the Nice Cimiez close to Hotel Regina where the famous
artist Matisse once lived. At the museum
you can see personal objects that belonged to Matisse and you can of course
see several of his paintings and sculptures. For example you can see the
”Tempete a Nice” from 1919;
THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM:
is situated close to the Matisse Museum, and when visiting the
archaeological museum don’t forget to visit the spectacular Roman
amphitheatre with it’s public baths. The museum’s purpose is to illustrate
the period 14 BC to the 5th
century AD when this place was a Roman province;
LA PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS:
this is the place where everybody goes to enjoy and admire the beautiful sea
and maybe to visit one of the many bars and restaurants that are located
here. You can also stroll around here in the evening when there’s usually
always
something going on here. If you don’t want to visit the beach then walk
along the promenade.
THE MARK CHAGALL MUSEUM:
here you can learn more about this fascinating artist and you can also see
his work here. Paintings and stained glass windows are exhibited at the
museum.
